Mr. Yong Chu Eu FAR, CMSRL, CWA, CFC, Shariah RFP, CFP®, Bac. Sc., Ms. Sc. (UPM) At present, Mr. Yong is the founder, CEO, and primary educator at the Money & Life Academy. He functions as a Licensed Financial Planner (FAR & CMSRL) under the umbrella of Philip Wealth Planner. Money & Life Academy is recognized as an official training resource for ongoing professional development by entities like SIDC CPE, FiMM CPD, and HRD Corp. Before launching his own autonomous training enterprise, he led educational efforts and acted as a licensed financial advisor (FAR & CMSRL) at a local financial planning firm. He had previously held positions as a Unit Trust Consultant and Professional Will Writer prior to transitioning into a fully licensed financial planner role. In 2015, he obtained his HRDF Trainer certification through the TTT program, and as of October 18, 2022, he is an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer, having completed 120 hours of corporate training. In 2023, he further enhanced his credentials with a Masterclass Certification in Financial Coaching Programme with ICF standard, achieving the status of Certified Financial Coach (CFC). With 14 years of hands-on experience in the training and financial planning sphere, Mr. Yong ardently delivers Continuing Professional Education/Development Financial Master Courses across a wide spectrum of subjects. By the August 2023, he had facilitated around 325 professional training events, educating roughly 8,790 financial professionals across Malaysia, excluding public and CSR sharing. His corporate clientele comprises prominent names such as Asian Banking School, ATM Capital, several banks, and investment and asset management firms (UOB Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, AM Bank, Public Bank, CIMB Bank, RHB Bank, MYS Capital, Pheim Asset Management, Pheim Unit Trusts Berhad, UOB Asset Management, Opus Asset Management, Hong Leong Bank, MIDF, Alliance Bank, Affin Bank, TA Securities, TA Investment, M&A Securities, KAF Group, Public Mutual, Wahed, MYTHEO, Prudential, and more). Mr. Yong has also cooperated with several professional organizations like the Asian Banking School, Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM), Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC), EquityTracker, MNS Global, CPA Australia, MIA, Bursa Malaysia, FIMM, Humanistic Education Training, the Association of Stockbroking Companies Malaysia (ASCM), and Philippines RFP, offering professional training for their members and the general public. He has given numerous public lectures and classes on subjects like financial planning, motivation, leadership, Chinese traditional culture, and education for a range of institutions like Bursa Malaysia, FPAM, KC Lau, Securities Commission (SC), InvestSmart and etc As a financial planning educator, Mr. Yong lectured for the Certified Financial Planner-CFP program at Penang KDU College, Max Wealth Education, and Disted College from 2010 to 2019, instructing a total of 116 CFP students. Two of these students won awards for their outstanding exam results. In 2017, he achieved his "Shariah Registered Financial Planning" certification and became an "MFPC Certified Shariah RFP Trainer" via the MFPC & CMDF Educational Scholarship Programme. He has been volunteering with the FPAM Penang Chapter Committee since 2017, initially handling Publicity & Public Relations and later serving as the Continuing Education & Events Head Chairperson from 2021-2023. Since 2021, he has been teaching professionals in the Philippine financial industry about the Professional Certificate Chartered Wealth Advisor (CWA), having trained about 74 professionals in five cohorts by August 2023. The Philippines RFP and Wealth Management Institute (WMI) recognize his contributions and honored him with the Chartered Wealth Advisor (CWA) professional title in 2023. In addition to his professional engagements, Mr. Yong regularly contributes to local media, writes columns for financial publications, and shares his financial planning insights through public talks, classes, and radio broadcasts. He was a "Dean's List" student during his undergraduate studies and a National Science Fellowship Scholar during his Master's studies, during which he published five journals (IEEE International Workshop on Antenna Technology: Small Antennas and Novel Metamaterials IWAT, 2005, International Journal of Computers and Applications 2008, Lecture Note in Computer Science (LNCS), Springer Verlag, January 2006 and more) and won multiple award (Silver from Malaysia Technology Expo 2006 and Gold from the INPEX International Show 2006 – Monroeville, Pittsburgh, USA and more).
